Remaining and Gone
This is the first solo exhibition in Kyoto by Hong Kong visual artist Tsang Min-fu. This exhibition showcases the artist's experiences during his stay in Kyoto and his feelings regarding the living environment and personal changes of the place where he grew up
This current work, Remaining and Gone, is a sequel to Before Collapse. Utilizing materials such as charcoal, aluminum foil, and resin, and combining them with video imagery, he has constructed a multimedia installation space. From the perspectives of materiality and metaphysics, he explores issues such as transformation, fading away, and loss. Throughout the creation process, the artist explored the relationship between environmental changes and himself, intending to share these reflections with the audience through his work.
