This work draws inspiration from a text I encountered during my second year of primary school—the only passage I was able to recite from memory throughout my academic life. Through the material exploration of carbonisation, manifested in processes of transformation, distortion, and disfiguration, the piece contemplates the shifting nature of language—and by extension, culture through the passage of time.
這件作品的源自於我小學二年級時遇到的一篇課文，這是我整個求學生涯中唯一能背誦的一段。作品透過對碳化過程的探索，展現了碳化在材料中的轉化、扭曲和變形，思考文字的變遷，以及文化在時間流逝中的變化。
